I took a loan from Money and More in July 2008 and paid the loan back in Aug of 2008 with an electronic with drawl; by Money and More. I had the bank send me my bank records showing both of these trans shares however I was told that unless I had a letter from Money and More that this had been paid my bank records are useless. I have had many payday loans over the years and have never received a full payment from any of them but have always been able to contact them online to check my history can not do this with money and more and the only phone number I can find is not inserving 951-922-6286 who is the scammer ?????. The calls do not come every day they are about 1 or 2 weeks apart. guess I’ll just have to wait and see if they are doing papers on me they know a lot of my personal information as told them I would not send them my bank statements she then recited my bank account number from the account I had at that time has since changed accounts. I have asked for things in writing and have to recieve anything.
Anyone who tells you you must pay in an hour or that you will be arrested is a scammer. A collector can not have you arrested, and certainly can not summon law enforcement to arrest you because you did not meet their deadlines. A legitimate collector would send you a written validation of the debt. Please do not pay. You can read more signs of scammer here: 9 Signs You Are Talking to Debt Collection Scammer
I am confused. Why would a debt collector say that money you paid them was refundable? Perhaps you were applying for a loan? If so, and if this is an advance loan loan scam, the promise refund is worthless. Did you wire money to them via Western Union by chance? If so, then it’s probably gone to someone overseas already.
But there is one statistical tidbit that flies in the face of this conventional wisdom: A clear majority of same-sex couples who are living together are now married. Same-sex marriage was illegal in every state until Massachusetts legalized it in 2004, and it did not become legal nationwide until the Supreme Court decision Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015. Two years after that decision, 61 percent of the same-sex couples who were sharing a home were married, according to a set of surveys by Gallup. That’s a high take-up rate: Just because same-sex couples are able to get married does not mean they have to; and yet large numbers have seized the opportunity. (That’s compared with 89 percent of different sex couples.)

Reg – This is a common tactic that is used to scare you into pay without questioning the validity of the debt. There are laws in place that protect you from debt collectors and they have to abide by those laws (if they are legitimate and not scams). the eyes of the company i owe it to? Not to mention, if I really did have these debts – where are they on my credit report? So I asked that ALL communications from their company, and the “server” Alex be stopped – they are not to contact me at my place of employment, nor any of my family that have been contacted. So frustrating to know that this company is able to do this.

Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those that you may use to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including the proximity to where you are looking, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business’s suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, show YP advertisers who provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed purchasing decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.
Just because they have a lot of information about you does not mean it’s legitimate. These companies are somehow getting access to very detailed information about consumers who applied for and

order in order to process any garnishment so doubt anything will come from this. I’m happy to find out this company is a scam and that I was not the only one who almost fell for it. This people need to be stopped as soon as possible. This is riduclous. It’s sad that people come up with stuff like this to do to others.
Defaulting on a loan is not a “felony violation” and what they are saying and doing is illegal under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The next time you talk with them, ask them to send you a confirmation of the debt-which they are required to do by law. If they refuse, you can tell them that they are breaking the law and you will pursue legal action if they continue to call and harass you.

Have been receiving calls for about a month from John Ryan at the AR Group, leaving VM’s saying they are getting ready to file 2 legal documents against me, and to call back at 888-543-9421 ext 303 about the matter, also leaving a reference number. Today he calls and leaves the same message and says that they are filing the legal documents today and that I need to call back. Repeatedly when I try to call back the message that the “call source number is no longer in service”, including a number of times today. The call originally came from 800-533-9421 which is totally different contact when I call. Last year I mistakenly accepted a online payday loan that started a nightmare in my life for $ 200, and do not know if this is a connected issue. Earlier this year I was getting calls from a woman from TYCOLIFTS who gave documentation to about the transaction, and when pressured to pay, she said she would accept a 3 commitment commitment by providing her a valid card number that could be a prepaid card . I did so and the first payment was deducted, then I lost my job and could no longer make payments. She told me that she would not be able to keep the account from legal action, and did not hear

Cash Advance® does not make credit decisions nor does Cash Advance® conduct a credit inquiry on consumers. Some lenders on the Cash Advance® network may conduct a non-traditional credit check in order to determine your eligibility for a loan. Lenders typically do not conduct a credit inquiry with the three major credit bureaus: Transunion, Experian, or Equifax. If you do not repay your loan on time your lender may report this delinquency to one or more credit bureaus, which may have a negative impact on your credit score. We encourage consumers with credit problems to consult a Credit Counseling company.
DeYoung, along with three co-authors, recently published an article about payday loans on Liberty Street Economics. That’s a blog run by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Another co-author, Donald Morgan, is Assistant Vice President at the New York Fed. The article is entitled “Reframing the Debate About Payday Lending.”
serve me papers. She lives in Chicago and I live in southern Illinois. I called to see what was going on just to find out it’s a bill I’ve already paid off. The person on the phone told me that my account was just sold to them and they hired a locator to find me to serve me papers. They did not want to serve me at work. I told her it was paid off in July and she said I had to get a “Pay in Full” letter from the collector and they would drop it. I called Asset Management and they are sending me a letter. Asset gave me the corporate number for The Cash Store, I called and was told it was fraud and to stop all contact with this company. I’m still going to send in my “pay in full” letter but if I get anything from BOR again I’m going to go after them for violations of the law. This is ridiculous. I keep good records of all my payments and debts (I’ve had many over the years), I know a lot of people do not. They would have just paid them.
No Brittany p not being able to pay a debt will not land you in jail nor can not pay a debt fraud. They may be able to sue you for the debt, but if that happens you must be legally served with a notice of the lawsuit. Is this an old payday loan or are you back on a recent one?
“If these people are taking me to my local court should they not have this info?” By law, they have no right to collect. This is a standard procedure when dealing with any debt collector and under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the collector must comply with this request. In fact, under the law, if a collector contacts you by phone they have 5 days in which to send you formal written notice that you owe the debt. The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor, and your right to dispute the debt, in writing, within 30 days of receipt of the notice.
I did, however, take out a payday loan from a company named Cash Web, who promptly sold my info to a company called Hydra Loans. Perfect name as they had dozens of other such businesses. They put money in my account, though I never saw a contract or signed a thing; not even a phone call I paid them back the principle immediately but they still tried to get money out of my account (not even on paydays though they claim I applied for the loan and spoke to someone on the phone to set it up). I had to close my account and open a new one to stop them. Now, years later I’ll get these calls or letters, but nothing will ever happen. I ignore them, but if I had the time and money, I would love to get them I to court.

The CFPB does not have the authority to limit interest rates. Congress does. So what the CFPB is asking for is that payday lenders either thoroughly evaluate the borrower’s financial profile or limit the number of rollovers for a loan, and offer easy refund terms. Payday lenders say even these regulations may just be put out of business – and they may be right. The CFPB estimates that the
There’s one more thing I want to add to today’s discussion. The payday-loan industry is, in a lot of ways, a simple target. But the more I think about it, the more it looks like a symptom of a bigger problem, which is this: remember, to get a payday loan, you need to have a job and a bank account. So what does it say about an economy in which millions of working people make so little money that they can not pay their bills, that they can not absorb one hit like a ticket for smoking in public?
caller states they will be taking legal action, that the sheriff will be at my house or work place to serve me with papers. Knows my address and date of birth and employer. Says I owe $ 1,100.00. He says I can have my lawyer can him. He speaks with a foriegn accent and sounds exactly like the guy who called 2 months ago for another company threatening the same thing. I paid the debt last time I got SCAMED? The name the guy gave was Mr. Flood and number was 310-999-0442. Please help me !!
Today I came in from a stressful day, phone rings and it’s some stupid chick telling me I was going to be served and did not call this number at ADR – 877-801-8348. I asked her what was she talking about. She said, “I can not tell you the records are sealed!” She said, “If you call this number that will prevent you from a lot of trouble!” I said “No thanks, I would rather know what the trouble is , serve me! “I live in a remote part of the country – PO Box only – I also knew I had not been responsible for anything illegal. Have been a grown up now for several years and knew -my life was clean! I told her if she called me back that I was going to turn her into the AG’s Office and hung up. A few minutes later my mom called some girl was looking for me and I needed to call that number. My mom is 83 and we just went through the lost, my dad and my brother-in-law. None of us need this at anytime in our lives. I WILL turn them into the authorities if they call me back. I hope everybody else will do the same. I told my mom not to even think about talking to them or anyone else who can not identify themselves or their company. It’s a shame such evil lives in our world … find a job, do something honest for a change. We have enough crap going on without these scumsuckers bothering us or moreso our parents! BTY the girls name was CORY.
First I looked up this 712th court crap and found that it is a site that allows people to print fake legal documents. I pasted this on my email and sent it to them. I also found the same letter on a website that was sent to me, so in my second email to
So, the payday business model is not like pawn shop, where you surrender your valuable possessions to raise cash. To get a payday loan, you need to have a job and a bank account. According to Pew survey data, some 12 million Americans – roughly 1 in 20 adults – take out a payday loan in a given year. They tend to be relatively young and earn less than $ 40,000; they tend to not have a four-year college degree; and while the most common borrower is a white female, the rate of borrowing is the highest among the minorities.
Be aware that some payday lenders have threatened garnishment in order to get borrowers to pay, even though they do not have a court order or judgment. If that should happen, you may want to seek legal assistance.
MANN: And if you went to the counter and asked for a loan, they would hand you this sheet of paper and say, “If you’ll fill out this survey for us, we’ll give you $ 15 to $ 25, “I forget what one was. And then I get the surveys sent to me and I can look at them.

WERTH: It’s hard to say. Actually, we just do not know. But whatever their incentive might be, their FOIA applications have produced what looks like some pretty damning e-mails between CCRF – which, again, receives funding from payday lenders – and academic researchers who have written about payday lending.

There is a long and often twisted history of industries co-opting scientists and other academic researchers to produce findings that make their industries look safe or more reliable or otherwise better than they really are. Whenever we talk about academic research on this show – which is pretty much every week – we try to show the provenance of that research and establish how legitimate it is. The best first step in figuring that out is to ask what kind of incentives are at play. But that is only one step.
