These payday loan collectors are using a new scared tactic now. They are saying I’m filing fraud charges with your county and you will be summoned to court for fraud. I know you can not threaten a person over the phone but these are the calls I’ve got back to back

They left me a voice message saying that I would be served some paperwork between 12 & 4pm monday. And if I was not at home they would come by my job. I called them at 3:30 Monday and they said there was a problem having to be ready tomorrow or take care of it today. I asked who was from they said B & G payday loan I took out in 2011 for $ 500.00. I told them I never heard of them and just served me the paperwork. He got an attitude saying I should pay and it’s more because it’s so late. Credit.com’s journalism is largely supported by an e-commerce business model. Instead of rely on revenue from display ad impressions, Credit.com maintains a financial marketplace separately from its editorial pages. When someone navigates to those pages and applies for a credit card, for example, Credit.com will get paid what is essentially a finder’s fee if that person ends up getting the card. That does not mean, however, that our editorial decisions are informed by the products available in our marketplace. The editorial team chooses what to write about and how to write about it independently of the decisions and priorities of the business side of the company. In fact, we maintain a strict and important firewall between the editorial and business departments. Our mission as a journalist is to serve the reader, not the advertiser. In that sense, we are no different from any other news organization that is supported by ad revenue.

In April of 2000, Christopher Walken hosted Saturday Night Live. During the show, he would insist that Will Ferrell add “more cowbell” to Blue Oyster Cult’s “Do not Fear” the Reaper “; Before that, however, he made an appearance in one of the SNL’s satirical ads. Clad in yellow-sweater and perched next to Ana Gasteyer before a roaring fire-and speaking in a classically Walkenan growl-the actor engaged in a bit of confession: “In a marriage,” he intoned, the fire crackling behind him, “Intimacy is important. Erectile dysfunction is a thief. It takes away something very precious. “Walken went on to announce that he and his fictional wife had discovered, together, the virtues of Viagra. “It worked,” he said, as Gasteyer smirked and the fire crackled and easy listening music played in the background. He paused. “It worked a lot.”
Most of these scammers are hard to track, and if they are in other countries it makes it even more difficult. However, you may want to try filing a police report, and then file a complaint with the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov.
I have never felt so informed, relaxed, nor confident in any attorney before, ever! And all that changed once we met with Erin. Since I had such bad luck with previous attorneys, I was under the impression that our appointment would be very non-personable, rushed, and just looked at as … Read More
and would gladly accept any papers that they had for me. They immediately got very defensive and rude, I said that I checked my credit regularly and the only loan that I had been for a car and my school loan, They told me that payday loans do not show up on your credit report. I got it out and hung up, only for them to get a hold of my sister and tell her that they were looking for me. They called back a few more time and I ignored the call.

WINCY COLLINS: I advise everyone, “Do not even mess with those people. They are rip-offs “I would not go back again. I do not even like to walk across the street past it. That’s just how pissed I was, and so hurt.

I b. I have been receiving the same calls from Jason and Ms. Thomas from the same company in Illinois. (ALSO, SAID THEY WOULD GARNISH WAGES AND REVOKE MY LICENSE) They have now started employing americans to make these calls to make it sound legit. So I advised that I have been recording these calls for the FBI investigation that I am involved in. I am a professional lawyer and debt collector can not call you without verifying that they have the correct person and that would be done via certified mail with a summons and complaint against you. Also, if the collector such as Jason Locke and Ms. Thomas from 877-601-5871 Ext 259 and 877-601-5871 Ext 251 were real debt collectors they would have to provide written proof of the original loan, copies of the e-sign agreement between you and the lender, account numbers, telephone numbers for the lender etc … This guy Jason did not know his own address when I asked him and he could not confirm my full social security number. Also, one tip to remember is legit collectors have to say the following statement before talking with you “This is a try to collect a debt etc.”, so remember that. The unfortunately was scammed out of $ 500.00 a few years ago and I paid the fees and sent fax to them
I had a similar call last week claiming I defaulted on a PDL from 2008 which I took out and also did pay back in full when it was due. They are threatening me with court and possible criminal prosecution for cheating fraud. The name of the person who called was Timothy and he was calling from something called ADR firm at behalf of his client. He said the client is BG Capital Associates and that they bought the debt from Money and More (who is the company I had the PDL through back in 2008. The phone # they called from and also had me back was 716-748-6566 and 716-748-6519. Has anybody heard of these people or had similar experience?

CHRISTOPHER WERTH: Right. Well, it’s a non-profit watchdog, relatively new organization. Its mission is to expose corporate and political misconduct, primarily by using open-record applications, such as the Freedom of Information Act or FOIA applications, to produce evidence.
I took a loan from Money and More in July 2008 and paid the loan back in Aug of 2008 with an electronic with drawl; by Money and More. I had the bank send me my bank records showing both of these trans shares however I was told that unless I had a letter from Money and More that this had been paid my bank records are useless. I have had many payday loans over the years and have never received a full payment from any of them but have always been able to contact them online to check my history can not do this with money and more and the only phone number I can find is not inserving 951-922-6286 who is the scammer ?????. The calls do not come every day they are about 1 or 2 weeks apart. guess I’ll just have to wait and see if they are doing papers on me they know a lot of my personal information as told them I would not send them my bank statements she then recited my bank account number from the account I had at that time has since changed accounts. I have asked for things in writing and have to recieve anything.
DEYOUNG: Yes, I like to think of myself as an objective observer of social activity, as an economist. But there is one section of the blog where we highlight mixed evidence. That helps you to reduce the risk of money at home level. And we also point to, I believe, an equal number of studies in that section that find the exact opposite. And then of course there is another section in the blog where we point directly to rollovers and rollovers is where the rubber hits the road on this. If we can somehow predict which folks will not be able to handle this product and will roll it over incessantly, then we can impress on payday lenders not to make the loans to those people. This product, in fact, is especially badly suited to predict this because the payday lender gets a small number of pieces of information when she makes the loan, as opposed to the information that a regulated financial institution would collect. The cost of collecting that information, of underwriting the loan in the traditional way that a bank would be, would be too high for the payday to offer the product. If we load up additional costs on the production of these loans, the loans will not be profitable any longer.
This is exactly the approach by which Donald Trump inadvertently made millions for Michael Wolff. Having so spectacularly backfired the first time, why do it again? The short answer is: Team Trump knows nothing else.
In a typical handgun injury, which I diagnose almost daily, leaf bullet in laceration through an organ such as the liver. To a radiologist, it appears as a linear, thin, gray bullet track through the organ. There may be bleeding and some bullet fragments.
Can they really throw a person in jail for 85 months and 7 years? We did have a payday loan and completely slipped. Our bank closed on us and this is probably why the check bounced off that place. What do you advise we do? I am freaking out … .. I asked for it in writing and they were refufed to give me a thier address and put me in touch with an officer for warrants.
I just dealt with ACS. They have been hounding me for a couple of weeks trying to get me a total of $ 625. One person calls immediately to the “supervisor”, Denis Petersen. They even faxed and emailed me to complete (completely bogus) to authorize a credit card only payment plan. When the first payment came, they became very aggressive, calling my cell phone over a dozen times in a row in one instance. Today they called my primary job (hospital ER) yelled at a nurse and called her a stupid bitch, my coworkers rightly freaked and went to my manager who called me. I assured her that people were scammers and told her I would immediately call the FTC and states the attorney’s office, which I did. I also had her apologize to my coworkers. I was so upset, I was shaking. I called ACS and confronted Denis Petersen, who had been the fake supervisor bullying these payments. He told me he could call me the same things and hung up when I said his behavior was illegal. I then received two calls on my cell. I call back and say stop calling my cell. This Denis Peterson goes to the person who called me “Why did you call her cell, I told you to call her work so she loses her job!” I just
Thanks for sharing, Brooke. It always amazes us with some of the threats and claims these guys make: “Somebody would be here Friday at 11:00 a.m. to take me to California for my court on Monday at 11:00 pm “So, they’ll pick you up, drive or fly you to California for court, and put you up in a hotel for two nights while you wait for your short date on Monday? I’m almost speechless.
DeYOUNG: They do not overdraft the checking account and take out the payday loan because they’ve done the calculus. That overdrafting on four or five checks at their bank is going to cost them more money than taking out the payday loan.
